Why is it needed?
Thousands of people in Wales need the help that a bit of extra money could give them. A bit more heating, or food. Less need to borrow money from expensive pay-day lenders. New shoes for school.
At the same time, millions of pounds that they're entitled to goes unclaimed. Other help that's available to people facing a sudden crisis, isn't taken-up, because they don't know about it.
With the current cost of living crisis, Dangos sessions and packs are updated with the latest help available from UK Government, Welsh Government and other schemes.
Who's it for?
Dangos will give people like you , who are in day to day contact with others who might need help, the information to better understand what help is available. It will show you ways to encourage people to take the help they're entitled to and it will show you where to find expert support for people in need.
How does it do it?
Through a free online session, plus a free information pack and access to free detailed eLearning about welfare benefits
How do I know if it's for me?
If you are working in Wales, paid or voluntary, with people who might need some help to get more money, then it's for you.
Who's it from?
Sessions are given by experienced benefit experts, and the information packs and eLearning come from Ferret, Europe's leading benefits specialists. Dangos is funded by the Welsh Government.
"I've been doing work in people's houses for a few years now. Sometimes they're really cold and I'd like to know if there's any way of getting more money for heating."
